Mela 2023 – Gurdwara Shahid Asthan
On 2nd June 2023, Nawa Quilla, Shahkot became vibrant with sanget flocking form all corners of Punjab. 35 Akand Padths were booked from people around the world, for example, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Italy and United Kingdom. The Bhog was Sunday 4th June 2023. For the first time the Mela 2023 was televised using YouTube. The event not just specular but colourful with so many people enjoying themselves, kids playing, eating and excellent fresh food and some listening to the Padth waiting for the Bhog so they could tuck into the Parshad.
The Indian Committee, did an excellent job by inviting Kavishri Jatha and Kirtani Jatha, Kirtni Jatha Hazuri Ragi Sri Darbar Shabib Amritsar Sukhwant Jeet Singh and Dhadi Jatha major Singh Khalsa made the event so joyful.
The total Mela 2023 funds collected ₹908570 rupees

Fans, Lights, pipe and wires: ₹49700
Groceries and dairy: ₹548480
Grand Total spend: ₹770700
Balance: ₹137870
Plus:Jasvir Singh Chana s/o Santa Singh donated further ₹88750 for building funds making a total of 226620 in credit which will be deposited in the bank India.
