GURDWARA SHAHID ASTHAN UPDATE 21st June 2026

Gurdwara Shahid Asthan has moved strength to strength over a couple of years. It holds several charitable events such Annual Mala, Eye Camp, Marriage of girls from families and regular guru ka langer. 2025 calendar year has been very successful and the Indian committee has been working tirelessly to promote the gurdwara. However, it’s noted that new generation is limited due to their other interests that are not related to their religion, culture or in the interest of the gurdwara. So what should we do to excite their minds and thoughts and divert their minute thoughts to keep this going to help our community.

May 2026 Mela held 35 Akhand Padths internationally. Served Guru Ka Langer and helped those communities that needed help.

The maintenance work in 2026 included the painting of the Gurdwara and installation of safety grills to doors and windows at a cost of 6 lakh rupees.

The UK Committee started the collection of donations but slow coming.

Future events include the Eye Camp 2026 in November 2026. This will cost around £4,000.
